Kathy is a consultant to our intellectual property and innovation team.

Possessing exceptional expertise in commercial, technology and intellectual property law, and a particular emphasis on commercial collaborations and transactional work and intellectual property licensing and commercialisation.

Prior to moving to Brisbane in 2006, Kathy gained valuable experience as a partner and special counsel from tier one firms in both the United Kingdom and Australia. With a background in clinical research and a bachelor of science degree, her commercial and scientific knowledge enables her to understand the business and commercial needs of clients and to provide practical solutions to complex legal issues.

Kathy has worked on a diverse range of projects, with particular focus on the information technology, technology, biotechnology, medical devices and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, Kathy’s knowledge and experience of English and European community law proves invaluable when advising clients on multiple jurisdictional matters.
